UPDATE: See my original reviews below for details on this product. After using the whole bottle, the smell of cat urine could not be removed. I followed the To reactivate the urine crystals, I watered the area first, placed a laundry basket and kept the door closed so the cat didn't get a chance to mark the area again.I even cleaned the area twice with Bubba's Carpet Cleaner.It helps against the odor at first but after a few days the urine smell comes back.Overall I like the carpet cleaner for general cleaning if you have pets.But in the end, this product did NOT live up to the expectations on problem areas.Very disappointed in - for the cost and the bad result. I would order the carpet cleaner again, but will look for something else for cleaning issues :( Well MOST of us are looking for a miracle cleaner that will salvage some cat pee. And MOST of us cat owners won't realize that Mr./Miss Purr is secretly pissing in a corner until it's too late. (Especially if they're just doing it to annoy us for putting them on a diet) One of our gorgeous fluffy babies peed in my son's toilet. When it started smelling and I realized she had done it several times before. Tried vinegar, alcohol, essential oil, soda, peroxide. Nothing worked. I have spent HOURS researching various enzyme products. Read about the difference between "living" and "dormant" bacteria. Ultimately, Bubba was chosen based on the idea that their bacteria would be dormant and lose less of the key ingredients over shelf life and delivery time. Also for the deterrent aspect. I followed the instructions on the hard stain website. After a few days of air drying I tried again because I still smelled a faint urine odor. Then the next morning after using the new remedy I went to his room and found my cat trying to bury her fresh urine! She pissed DIRECTLY on the still wet treated area! Agggggggggg Conclusion: - Did NOT scare my cat off. - Still urine smell after 2 treatments (and now new). (Of course I understand any product can take more than 2, but if she urinates well on it. - 32 ounces isn't enough if you use it properly and soak the carpet AND pillow - VERY strong smell. I wouldn't recommend if you need to use the room that day, however the smell is pleasant - it will NOT leave a sticky residue on the carpet or stain it - it cleans the carpet, looks very good in that area - dogs DID NOT like the smell , so maybe it works better for the stars because it REALLY cleaned the carpet perfectly, better than any other cleaner I've used and with no residue or harshness afterwards BUT it didn't work for what I needed :( - I also have a carpet steamer and am planning to try it, although my hopes are low I will update once I use it.
