Bought primarily for the aesthetics. I have a black glass floor scale with a similar look where the display is invisible when the power is off. I love it but it always looks dirty since it's something shiny and black. I wanted the kitchen scale to look the same and this one in white was perfect. It looks clean for a while but is also very easy to clean when needed. A couple of downsides I noticed: - The auto-off timer is annoyingly short, so don't leave it on the same display for too long. .- If you are using this to measure a substance being poured into a container on a scale, it will be difficult to measure small amounts as the scale will not change from zero immediately but will go up a few seconds after the substance is poured a value jumps . I got a star down from these given the price and that they met my main need to look good on my countertop :-)
