After reading some negative reviews about this tool I had to post something about this spark plug tool. First, this tool works great for its intended purpose. He easily removed the plug from my trimmer which I couldn't plug into a regular outlet due to the limited clearance around the plug. I have also used it to replace plugs on my touring and trail mowers without any problems. However, this instrument is manufactured by Briggs and Stratton. Briggs and Stratton manufactures lawn and garden equipment, parts and accessories. This tool is therefore ideal for removing and installing spark plugs on LAWN AND GARDEN EQUIPMENT (mowers, trimmers, etc.) as these are usually only hand-tight or have a very low torque. If you try to remove the spark plugs from your vehicle, which can have over 20 ft-lbs of torque, this tool will bend. It is not designed to remove spark plugs from your vehicle. Get an extended outlet or add an extension cord to your wall outlet. Buy the right tool for the job you want to do. While it costs a little more, you'll get the job done faster and be less disappointed when you're done.
