The quality is at the level, I am satisfied with everything.

My first SLR, so I have nothing to compare with. Before that, there was a Canon mirrorless camera, but using it did not suit me for a number of factors, including the quality of the resulting images. I looked closely at the d3400 for a long time, but by that time I came across information on the Internet about the announcement of the d3500. As a result of a long and painful comparison, the choice still fell on a newer model. By the time the camera was purchased, there was not very much information about it on the Internet. But I read the most valuable advice in my opinion in one of the reviews, where they advised investing in good optics. As an experiment, I purchased several old lenses from Soviet cameras and using adapters I currently use them on the D3500, and the difference with the whale lens is very large! Now I'm looking at fast fixes. Summing up, I’ll say that I didn’t regret purchasing this model at all, it can help beginners and amateurs in learning, thanks to a special training shooting mode. Definitely, this camera is able to realize its full potential in capable hands. I am very pleased with her.

Pros

The camera fits comfortably in the hand, the ergonomics have been well done. The quality of photos with good lenses and proper camera settings is excellent. Light weight, you can carry it with you and you will not get tired quickly. Good build quality, after almost half a year of use, no defects were found. Affordable price.

Cons

The first and most important drawback is that there is no possibility to shoot video in 4k format. The absence of fundamentally new functions and capabilities relative to the previous model, with a noticeable difference in price. In the package, the user manual fit on two sheets; for comparison, the package of the previous camera (D3400) included a whole book with all the details.
