Description of 📷 Nikon D3500 DX-Format DSLR Two Lens Kit: AF-P DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR & AF-P DX NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3G ED, Black - Ultimate Photography Bundle
- Super light, even by my standards
- I was a total photography newb when I made the purchase, so I didn't even notice that the camera didn't have a "exposure bracketing" feature. It appears to have the function, but it does not. Carefully consider your purchases. A stunning sunset, or any image with strong tonal changes, will be impossible to capture without this feature.
- It fits very comfortably in the hand, even though it is a bit thick. But thinner than the D5000, which I was previously given to play with. Living battery. Not a bad whale lens. Very convenient (for me personally) menu. Bluetooth.
- There is no way to charge from USB, but this is not surprising, because 7.2 volts. Only 20 minutes of video (although I didn’t have to shoot more).
- Lightweight, ergonomic. Cool kit lenses. Excellent stabilization (it is not mentioned anywhere, but it is hidden in the lens under the abbreviation VR) In my case, AF-P 18-55mm DX VR and AF-P 70-300mm DX for all occasions. The Guide Mode function will simplify the setup of the camera for high-quality shooting by a beginner. Shooting is excellent (with the right settings and post-processing) Good build quality. Nothing backlash, no cracks, no scuffs, after a year of intensive use.
- Non-rotatable, non-touch rear screen. Nothing closes. When worn around the neck, there is a fear of scratching it with a zipper or buttons. Very weak battery. As luck would have it, he sits down at the most inopportune moment. You will not be able to recharge your camera at the right time if there is no outlet nearby. The lack of Wi-Fi makes it impossible for you to use your phone as a remote monitor. Video shooting only in 1080. The duration of shooting in max quality is 10 minutes! There is no jack for connecting an external microphone. It follows that this model is not suitable for video shooting at all. I bought a camera in the States, there is no 2022 language and you can’t add it in any way. Nikon's support responded to this question something like this: - "Where you bought it, go there." There is no accompanying documentation for the camera, help is only available online.
- - a good matrix with a fairly wide DD and realistic color reproduction; - comfortable grip with one hand control; - nimble operation of the interface; - excellent work of automation, especially BB and ISO; - the battery "clicks" 800-900 frames on the "native" battery, on the Chinese - 600-650;
- For such money there is no: - Some people miss a "screwdriver", but this D3xxx series never had one. In the modern Nikon Z series, it does not exist at all. The use of D-optics is possible only on expensive cameras of the d7xxx and FF series. But the old optics are not as sharp and contrasting as modern ones; - Sufficiently truncated push-button control. But is it necessary on an amateur walking camera? Once set up through the menu and everything, automation will do everything for you; - An old AF module, but the center point is cross-shaped and quite accurate and tenacious, moreover, this is not a sports camera, so why is there a module with 99 cross-shaped points? - The absence of the "Fn" button, but on older models, not very many functions could be assigned to it. I had ISO on my old D3100. But here the ISO can only be changed by a whole stop, and AutoISO does it 1/3 and very accurately, and you can’t hang other functions on it. - The absence of a touch screen, but this would make the camera more expensive and you will not take pictures on the screen, because there is JVI.
- The camera fits comfortably in the hand, the ergonomics have been well done. The quality of photos with good lenses and proper camera settings is excellent. Light weight, you can carry it with you and you will not get tired quickly. Good build quality, after almost half a year of use, no defects were found. Affordable price.
- The first and most important drawback is that there is no possibility to shoot video in 4k format. The absence of fundamentally new functions and capabilities relative to the previous model, with a noticeable difference in price. In the package, the user manual fit on two sheets; for comparison, the package of the previous camera (D3400) included a whole book with all the details.
- Smaller and lighter than comparable DSLRs at the same price point. the tone range is good for a budget employee. the staff member has a good optical pattern, generally normal color reproduction, excellent focusing speed for photos. motor is not heard.
- Photos on staff are sharp, only up to 40% increase from 100%. further there is not enough optics to reveal the matrix - detailing drops. The claimed 1500 thousand frames from the battery are lies. With all (!) disabled power-demanding functions, including stabilization, not when during the entire period of use (six months) it was not possible to squeeze more than 850-900 frames out of the battery. At the same time, of course, I shot only through the viewfinder and only photos.
- The stabilization is excellent. Most of all, I was pleased that with this camera you can take RAW pictures. Then the quality is really excellent!
- A little heavy, but that's a minor thing.
