Although this SSD is on par with similar brands (SanDisk, Crucial, etc.) in terms of write and read speeds, an important difference is that it heats up a lot! I bought both 120GB (S55) and 512GB (A55) versions, one for the laptop and one for the desktop storage. Both clock in at 40 C when idling and then can climb to over 60 C with serious write/read. The other SSDs I have (one SanDisk, two Crucials, one Corsair) are about 10-15C cooler in any scenario. I have no idea how long two Silicon Power SSDs will last considering they are much hotter.
