I recently purchased the Filterbuy MERV 13 Optimal Defense air filters for my HVAC system and have been quite impressed with their performance. They come in a pack of two, which is great for those who like to have a backup filter on hand. The actual size of the filter is 9.50 X 13.50 X 0.75 inches, which fit well in my furnace. I appreciate that the company provides you with the actual size, as it is often different than the nominal size advertised. These filters are designed to capture small particles that a regular filter cannot, such as bacteria, pollen, and pet dander. As someone with allergies, I have noticed an improvement in my symptoms since using these filters. The pleated design allows for a greater surface area for air to pass through, which in turn improves the filter's performance. Despite being a MERV 13 filter, I did not notice any significant reduction in airflow. The only reason I did not give these filters five stars is because they are more expensive than other filters on the market. However, I believe the added protection they provide is worth the extra cost. Overall, I highly recommend Filterbuy MERV 13 Optimal Defense air filters for anyone looking to improve the air quality in their home.
