Review on Cuisinart ViewPro Glass 2 Slice Toaster, Black - CPT-3000 by Michael Domus

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Quartz heating element = toasts get a lot better. Glass touch panel. Easy to use. Costs money.

Does its job really well! The purpose of this toaster (why I bought it) was to compare it to the $250 version of this toaster - when I said "so" I was referring to the unique heating element used in this toaster . Most toasters heat toast with wires—nickel-chrome wires. You can see these hot wires inside the toaster as you toast. Toasting on nichrome wire has the following problem: 1) it heats and toasts slower - the bread dries out. 2) Toast takes longer - the bread dries out again. This toaster uses quartz heating elements that provide a much hotter toasting environment in a much shorter amount of time. The result is toast that is crispy on the outside, but warm, soft and moist (bread) on the inside. A dry piece of bread. Is it important. You must try to believe it. Toast made with this toaster (or this type of toaster) tastes different than toast made with any other Ni-Chrome toast. In conclusion: This toaster is aesthetically pleasing. Glass viewing window, touch control panel (no knobs or knobs, a touch panel instead). Easy to use. The wide slot allows you to fit bagels in and only fry one side of the bagel. Possibility to fry only one slice. The 6-stage roasting control is precise and reproducible. After 3, 4 or 5 toasts in a row (slice by slice), each slice comes out evenly. Is it worth $60? Yes. That. Not just because it's a fancy toaster, it's a quartz toaster built to work. It costs $60.
