Review on 🚲 Sigtuna Bike Locks - 16mm Heavy Duty U-Lock with Shackle and Bike Lock Mount Holder + 1200mm Steel Chain Cable Bicycle Lock by Joseph Morris

I bought a Siguna 16mm hardened steel U-lock with 1200mm double loop cable which arrived yesterday. Basically, I bought a lock for U-Lock. I don't really need a cable. Since cables are inherently the weak link in any locking system, I have no intention of using them. If needed I have a cable lock of a similar design that is thicker and thus slightly more secure and would use that instead if needed. I REALLY like the bike mount and plan on installing a mount as soon as possible. Although I don't normally lock my bike in a risky area, I bought this lock because of its 16mm diameter, which I think is too thick for most bolt cutters. The only thing I would say is that the U section of the lock could be a bit longer to allow for more flexibility in locking the bike in different configurations and bike rack designs. Be that as it may, in some situations locking the bike actually requires the use of a cable, which weakens the entire locking system, reducing the purpose of locking to some extent. Most of the time, however, I lock my bike there. The "U-Lock" part of the system is perfect and will no doubt work as intended. In this case, considering the value for money of this product, I am VERY happy with my decision to buy this locking system and not other brands with the same diameter, sometimes much more expensive. Considering the cost, this is exceptional value!
