Bought to put on the deck's wooden steps, which often freeze in Virginia. We use the back deck to get to our cars and it gets slippery in cold weather. Turns out they freeze too, so that didn't help. But they look very nice, stay in place and are good when it rains. We also bought a matching tailgate mat. We used to buy a lot of coir carpets and they fade and look dirty very quickly. This lasts a long time, is VERY water permeable and easy to clean. So it's probably not the carpet's fault for getting frosty - just for added security for balancing on steps in non-frosty conditions, they're very good. I have made many comparison purchases and the price is right.
