The instructions clearly say to cook on low. I brew on low for 30 minutes, no coffee. I decide it must be too low and set it to medium, nothing. Maybe cook? No, there is no coffee yet. So I crank it up to the max, ta-da! Coffee! Ahhh, now it's on fire. Frustrated, I try again because obviously I'm doing something wrong, right? No, there is no kvass or burnt kvass yet. This pot doesn't cost a penny, don't waste your money! Unfortunately I foolishly didn't keep the box it came in as it had such fantastic reviews and now I've lost $60 and can't return it.
