Review on MOHA 20009 Rotating Ginger Grater by Adam Grady

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This grater/cester is the best I've found. Necessary!

In the past I have used a traditional grater/bowl made up of long strips and actually come in several different sizes. More recently, I've tried a more oriental cuisine that uses ginger. On the grater/cester I have, the grated ginger was stuck to the bottom of the grater and had to be carefully removed. Also, the ginger could only be grated in one direction. Once the grated or ground food was scraped off the bottom of the grater, cleaning the tool was difficult and care had to be taken not to cut yourself while cleaning. The MOHA grater is a game changer, and that's a lot. easier to use and clean. I personally freeze my ginger root so I have it when I need it. I have found that the easiest way to use this grater is to break off a large piece of root, scrape off the end of it and run it over the grater in a circular motion. This grater grinds an amazing amount of grated ginger with little pressure in a very short time. When you're done grating, turn the top knob to remove the grated ginger from the grater. When you open it, all of the grated ginger will be at the bottom of the device. All you have to do is put on the required amount. It is very easy to clean this grater. Simply clean with the spray nozzle on the sink and nothing sticks to the grater. As for storage and the risk of cuts, this wasn't a problem for me. I keep it in my desk drawer and don't think I could cut myself on it any more than other graters/cesters I have. In summary, I love the grater/jeera and would highly recommend it. This is definitely my favorite grater for ginger and citrus zest. Garlic cloves are too small in my opinion to be grated with this grater without much waste. I use a garlic press to crush the garlic. I hope this review was helpful to you. I'll update this review if I change my mind or find other uses for it.
