But well done. for cabinet hardware

The manufacturer or seller really needs to provide instructions so I didn't give a star. Conceptually this isn't difficult to install, with the major caveat being that it's important to double measure your drilled holes and make sure your tolerances between the two blocks are such that your door can close normally AND assuming you have one latch that works . . . With this in mind, with the door closed and all the locks locked, align the two pieces. Then slide out the part that is on the door and mark the holes on the part that is on the jamb. This is the block that ends with one-sided screws. Once it's installed, drill and install the part that goes in the door. NOW operate the gate the way you do, both inside and out. For example, lock the latch from the inside. Is it just as tight and tight as before, but without having to push on the door to lock the deadbolt? Because you want the door to close and close easily, especially when your wife is going to use it. You will be very disliked when she has to squeeze the door to lock and unlock the deadbolt. After you have machined all of the locks and checked the tolerances inside and out, you can remove the Phillips head screws from the block on the post and install the one-sided screws. Some reviewers said they spent $10 on a special drill bit for single ended screws - this isn't necessary if you drilled the holes correctly with the right size drill bit. It seems to me that many of us would understand all of this intuitively. without guidance, but by reading detailed instructions beforehand, be it for this project or another, that's the difference between a smooth installation or more of a disaster. We've probably all experienced this and hope to avoid repeating it. deterrent to thieves. Good luck folks.
