Review on 🔇 Efficient & Silent 1-1/2" Sump Pump Check Valve for Noise-Free Operation by Brian Hrdlicka

The machine sent to me turned out to be scrap. After replacing the drain pump, I found that the new pump runs every 45 seconds. I thought the old check valve was bad so I replaced it with this one in early October 2019. The old valve was quieter than this one, so the overall noise level didn't impress me. I liked the fact that this valve was in a clear tube so I could see that it actually worked. On January 19, 2020, I woke up to a loud noise coming from the sump pump. Upon inspecting the pump, I found that the valve flap had detached from the valve itself and was floating inside the unit. The free-floating valve blocked the outlet pipe, preventing excess water from being discharged. This overloaded the new drain pump and caused a loud noise. You can see in the photos where the device failed. A drainage pump is quite a responsible and expensive piece of equipment. It would be a shame to burn it because of the $25 check valve that fails after 3 months.
