Review on License Holder Bracket Unique Screws by Ken Perry

Revainrating 4 out of 5

High quality bracket in covers and number plate frame

Excellent replacement for the original bracket - BMW rear brackets are more or less standard so they will fit most newer Bimmers - and cost less than a third the price of the original . The kit contains everything you need, but with some limitations. The bracket attaches with two self-tapping screws (no bolts) to fit two holes in the bumper or rear sunroof. There are two plastic BMW clamping nuts in the holes and if they are in good condition you are done. If not, you'll need to replace one or both, which is no easy task when you have to remove them. However, installation is a simple exercise, bolting the bracket to the bumper with the screws provided, and a hole in the bracket is oval-shaped to allow for some play when fixing like the OEM. The supplied mounting bolts (M5) are too short to mount the license plate and frame - shorter than standard BMW metric bolts - but allow the license plate to be mounted separately. If you have a frame you will need to buy standard length BMW metric mounting bolts (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XSV5XT8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) but otherwise a very good OEM replacement for the rear bracket.

Pros
  • Number plate cover and frame
Cons
  • Hard to say
