I got this to change the look of my truck. I mainly listen to Sirius XM or stream music through my phone and Bluetooth, so radio reception isn't on my priority list. However, I still wanted something functional and not just aesthetic. Installation was a breeze, as expected. The antenna looks like it belongs in a truck. I tested it for a week which meant suffering ads to make sure it worked. I had no problems with the signal at all. The stations sounded loud and clear. I live in Texas where there are no mountains so your experience may be different if you have a lot of hills/mountains/valleys where you live. The only downside I can think of is that I no longer have an early warning system for approval. So if you find yourself in an unfamiliar underground parking lot, you need to find another way to test whether your roof will scratch without a long, tall factory antenna.
