This antenna affects reception

Just wanted to write a quick review to add a little more information for those looking for short antennas. and also. When I installed the antenna in the mountains, the clarity of the transmitters immediately decreased by about 50%. This means that you no longer hear the station. Driving on flat terrain, the antenna worked pretty much as advertised. original antenna newly installed

would recommend. Best in Electrical

Had this for a day at Tundra 2018. Reception isn't quite as good as the factory antenna but it helps. I live in a rather densely populated suburb and have no complaints about reception. I recommend. Update 07/10/18: Driven a truck through a machine car wash today. The antenna has become detached from the base. Although it's my fault for not taking it off first, I was expecting it to be a little stronger. Especially for an antenna less than 7 inches in height. The truck's antenna mast was not…

Easy installation and no noticeable loss of signal strength

Last weekend I installed the original 6 3/4" black rubber antenna on my 2017 Tundra. It comes in a small pouch and is ready to use. Installation - Just remove the existing antenna and screw this in. Looks great - Won't bang against the garage door or slam in the wind - I haven't noticed any loss of signal strength on the FM stations, which I sometimes hear on my way to work - haven't tried AM stations If you're looking for a low profile antenna this is a good pressure washer.

Works great for lights and electrics

Wanted to replace the stock radio antenna on my 2013 Tundra because I rarely listen to AM/FM radio and got tired of working with the stock antenna when my car or snow brushing gotta get rid of it. I was hoping to find something less obtrusive that would be decent enough for those rare occasions when I actually listen to AM/FM radio. I have read many reviews on other antennas that say Toyotas are very picky about aftermarket antennas. I installed this one because it was made for the Tundra and…

Size doesn't matter

I got this to change the look of my truck. I mainly listen to Sirius XM or stream music through my phone and Bluetooth, so radio reception isn't on my priority list. However, I still wanted something functional and not just aesthetic. Installation was a breeze, as expected. The antenna looks like it belongs in a truck. I tested it for a week which meant suffering ads to make sure it worked. I had no problems with the signal at all. The stations sounded loud and clear. I live in Texas where…

Exceeded expectations!

Vehicle: 2018 Toyota Tundra Platinum Antenna: AntennaMastsRus - 6-3/4" Bought this short antenna to replace the original antenna. The original antenna used to scratch the top of my garage door. I also park downtown daily Seattle and The original antenna always scratched internals (pipes, beams, camera, fire alarms, etc.) in a public garage I was just hoping to get some sort of reception with a short antenna. Instead, reception is better than the original Seattle am antenna I've driven as far as

Will not fit 2007 Toyota Tundra

This will not work for 2007 Toyota Tundra as advertised. Tundra 07 has a rubber pad around the antenna. This spacer is quite large, when you remove it it has a huge gaping hole that supposedly will only fit in an antenna with a much longer screw of at least a quarter inch and will probably need more than that. To get connected to the internet you have to go under the pad, it's too thick, too wide at the base, and the screw isn't even remotely close enough to touch the antenna screw, and the…

Great product and the seller is VERY helpful when given a chance!

UPDATE: I bought a second antenna after my local Toyota dealer broke the first one while they were running it and this works just as well and the seller is still just as good at his job! You know I was skeptical after reading the reviews and even contacted the seller and spoke to him about the antenna. They immediately said that Toyotas were "more finicky" when it came to antennas and radio reception. We discussed the lack of AM reception and cases where FM would work well or worse depending on

thread end? the best in electrics

This is a new addon to my previous review posted below. I initially gave the antenna 3 stars because I thought I lost the antenna at the car wash because I didn't tighten it enough when installing it. It turns out it wasn't. Today I finally tried to reinstall the original antenna and found that the antenna had just snapped off. The threaded post was still in the threaded end of the car's antenna receiver and had broken off just below the rubber edging that stabilizes the antenna and prevents…
