This card is suitable for normal home use, but it is too weak for server use. I bought four and installed two to create a NIC team. Both cards together are slower than a normal integrated LAN port. I tested each of these cards with the iperf3 software, the built-in LAN port gets me 910 Mbit/s, the StarTech card alone or as a team gets me a maximum of 400 Mbit/s. Anyway, I tried using two of them as a backup LAN in the server, but after a year of use, one card starts falling out of the team every day. So you get what you pay for. I've replaced all of these StartTech NICs with regular Intel NICs for all hardware and haven't encountered any other issues.
