I always go without. This is the best I've found for softening and locking in moisture overnight and all day without the use of petroleum products. My lips love it! I used Blistex at night. Most of the time I woke up in the morning with lips that felt fine and they always felt dry with chunks of loose skin that I had to exfoliate. Sometimes they cracked and bled. Before using this, I didn't realize that my lips could be naturally smooth instead of rocky and deep lines. I now see that it was due to dryness and when my lips are properly hydrated and protected from moisture loss in the dry California air, they remain soft and wrinkles are smoothed out. I think this product helped me see what my lips should look like. Just be sure to stick to the expiry dates - this product contains natural vegetable oils which can go rancid on prolonged storage and make the product smell bad. If it's on time, it doesn't smell at all.
