I'm a bit disappointed with this carafe. It's smaller than I expected (although I should have guessed based on the specs) but to make matters worse the lid makes a complete mess when pouring. I can't even understand why and how, but it squirts everywhere even though there's nothing but liquid in the carafe. It is shown with lemons and ice in the carafe so I thought I could use it as shown and the strainer will hold large items whilst the liquid comes out of the spout. Well I won't even try now (sayonara, sangria! :( ). Just to pour plain iced tea (no ice) I have to remove the lid or it splatters everywhere. I also found it difficult to get a spoonful long enough to stir in. I thought it might come with a stirring stick, but I must have thought of another...to put it in.
