This part works exactly as described. Two 4-pin connectors are connected to form a 6-pin connector. The cables were long enough to go from my PSU to the back of the graphics card. It was nice not having to buy a new power supply! As some other reviews have noted, the splicing ends are a bit cheap. Actually I was able to stick the 6 pin end into the back of my graphics card UP DOWN! The pins were the right shape but I was able to get them in, probably because the plastic was cheap. Luckily I stopped before turning the device on and using it properly. Just don't do what I did. Look carefully and make sure the pins are going in the right direction. But once again I had no problem getting my new graphics card to work. Steam Games FULL STEAM AHEAD!
