This cable does exactly what it's supposed to. This allows you to connect a high-quality graphics card to an old or inferior power supply. It uses two LP4 connectors. All adapters like this use two LP4 connectors, so this isn't a problem. It's not expensive considering a new high-quality power supply costs $50 or more. This part works exactly as described. Two 4-pin connectors are connected to form a 6-pin connector. The cables were long enough to go from my PSU to the back of the graphics card. It was nice not having to buy a new power supply! As some other reviews have noted, the splicing ends are a bit cheap.
