The other day I took a free hot tub in a nearby town. The owner said it didn't work and in any case it was free for whoever would pull it out. We picked it up and carried it home. I ran it over the weekend but it refused to run the dual speed pump at high speed. I looked at the PCB schematic with a fine comb and found nothing wrong. Since it was 17 years old (and free!) I decided to get creative with this air switch. I bought an air button to clear dirt and installed it on the rim of the tub. I then connected the output of the pump power relay to the two poles of the switch using the common switch and the high/low wires from the pump. Now I can easily switch between high and low speed without affecting other spa functions! It works great and my "Free Non-Working Hot Tub" is now working great and the family loves it! And it only cost me about $30. I would say it's an estimate!
