Review on 🐠 Energy Efficient Submersible Thermostat + Thermometer Sticker - VIBIRIT Betta Fish Tank Heater 25W, Smart Small Aquarium Heater by April Daniels

I don't usually write reviews but bought this product based on the rave reviews. And let me tell you that I've never been so disappointed. The instructions say it will stop heating at 82. This is WRONG. I felt like checking my temp on my beta and it was at 84.6 and getting STILL hotter. The heater didn't turn off when it was supposed to (the light was still on). I watched it for a while because it kept the right temperature in the morning and didn't get too hot and I thought there must be a bug. Eventually the temp dropped a bit and I started to fall asleep and woke up with an odd feeling to check on the Blue (my beta) and the temp was well over 85 while the heater was still on. I feel like I'll wake up dead blue the next morning if I don't turn off the heat. I can be very protective of Blue when it comes to Blue, even though he's just a "fish," but to this college student, he's all I have. So now Blue has to sleep in very cold water because the heater tried to kill him. :)
