You MUST have SMT soldering experience to properly assemble this kit! If you have such experience then this is a good kit. Another option would be to use this kit when learning new surface mount assembly techniques. Either online or with face-to-face classes. I estimate it will take 5 hours to build, but take your time. Take a break when you need it. Attention to detail is an important part of properly aligning and assembling these types of parts. I have been repairing this type of product for many years so I had a pleasant time assembling this unit. I would recommend this project to anyone who wants to practice efficient assembly or repair of surface mount products. Sound quality is good for the size of a speaker in a plastic case; Just don't try to pull 20 watts out of those 3 watt speakers.
