Soldering the individual LEDs was difficult for him (7 years old) so he assembled it without finishing this part and will edit as he pleases and add later. You MUST have SMT soldering experience to properly assemble this kit! If you have such experience then this is a good kit. Another option would be to use this kit when learning new surface mount assembly techniques. Either online or with face-to-face classes. I estimate it will take 5 hours to build, but take your time. First of all, be careful what you order. There are two separate sets as the same product. The more expensive one has a high spectrum LED panel (and apparently requires some SMD soldering) while the cheaper one has 11 multicolor LEDs and it's all through holes.
