This is much better than the Apple OEM because I couldn't find a lock that would fit the Apple OEM (maybe , it's possible or was possible, but my Kensington lock definitely wouldn't fit despite an hour of trouble). Although I had to use a magnifying glass according to the instructions that come with this lock setup (for example, there is no PDF to zoom in to see the detail you want), it worked great. The only thing that could and should be better is the cable - it's rather thin. Thicker metal around the perimeter would be even better (although the bottom part still has to be thin of necessity). You may also need a good magnifying glass to read the instructions that come with it.
