The "piston" is made of ~4.5 mm thick steel, and at maximum force this part of the press flexes with residual deformation. It bends along 2 lines of 2 longitudinal stiffeners attached from above. In other words, 2 wings are bent upward from 2 sides and this pressure plane takes the form of a "butterfly". I dismantled the structure, reinforced it in the planes perpendicular to the ribs with 2 brackets installed for welding. I am sure that now the plane of the piston will be constant and not have residual deformations. Attached is a photo of my upgrade.
