I have a kitchen counter about 2ft wide that I keep my Keurig and toaster (and cat treats) on. The area receives little natural light and is separated from the main counters where there is lighting under the cabinets. I just wanted something that would make the coffee maker easier to use. This little gadget fits the bill. It happens when I start touching the coffee pot. It also happens when the toast comes up, which makes me laugh. It turns off after a few seconds. It was as easy to install as you would think. I've been using it for several months, the battery has not been changed.
