Review on 📶 NETGEAR C7800 High-Speed Modem (Legacy Model) by Matthew Fadoul

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Do not buy, not worth the money

Bought primarily for a cable modem to stop renting an Xfinity gateway. Nighthawk Wireless to support these speeds for all my wireless devices. Setting up wireless was easy, but enabling it with Comcast Xfinity (Comcast bug) was TERRIBLE. Using Netgear Genie to set up a wireless router is acceptable. I find it more convenient to configure through the browser. I only gave this product two stars because I expected more from the Netgear Nighthawk product (wireless router). These are supposed to be their high-end WiFi routers compared to their standard home models, but you don't get much by setting them up. I was very disappointed that this router doesn't support QoS, which is standard on almost all wireless routers. But after a few chats with their customer support, this is on Nighthawk Wi-Fi routers but not on their Nighthawk Wi-Fi router/modem combos. Yes it's confusing, the modem part made things worse. (LOL) You can buy them separately cheaper and better. Netgear DOCSIS 3.1 modem ($178) + Netgear Nighthawk X6 ($200) = $378 excl. tax. [3/4/18] And you get more functionality, but less desk space and fewer outlets. But I would stay away from Netgear as I had to find out after making this unfortunate purchase and speaking to the support team. Good luck everyone and GAME SPEED AHEAD
