What I liked about these DPNs. For what you get this is a good price. What I didn't like: I didn't get everything that was advertised. I still give it 3 stars for that. The listing had 11 sizes, 55 pieces. Came 10 sizes and 50 pieces. The package was sealed so I'm guessing someone just wasn't paying attention when assembling it and there was no quality control to double check. Disappointing but certainly not a deal breaker because you get what you pay for (and it was pretty cheap). I have tested each DPN through my needle gauge and they are all perfect for sizing. I also checked each tip for burrs that could catch on the yarn. No one! However, the advice was not consistent. Some were duller than others and I have one that looks like it has a bit of a crease at the top but I don't think it will affect my knitting. A word of warning: if you've never worked with DPNs before, size 0 will scare you because they're so small. Mostly toothpicks. These are the kind of needles you'd love to take on a flight because if the TSA hooked you on them you wouldn't care because they were so cheap! Yes, I would recommend them as spare needles or if you don't want to take your really good needles with you.
