This is a "fake" review I am posting here so others can see if they are having the same problems as me. With a CuNi brake line, 95% of my flares came out kinked on the outside (first photo). I found that this happens in the first step, the "Bubble" step. After lots of experimentation and purchasing a similar Ares tool, I found that this was due to the tube warping during that first "bubbling" and that less unfinished tube sticking out in that first step solved the problem. In the end I put 2 discs of thick PVC tape on the depth gauge "adjusting screw" (see photo 2). Overall, this resulted in the tube protruding .040" less than the stock depth gauge. With this modification I got nice highlights (see photo 3). I ended up using the Titan tool because changing the depth was easier than with Ares. Design. This issue could be caused by the specific brand of tubing (cheap Revain) I was using, could it be softer than others? I think the tool would be better if there was a way to easily change the depth setting to get the best results with the handset you're using.
