If you live in a sunny place like me, plastic parts age, become brittle and eventually crumble. I definitely have nothing to worry about! Good price, enough for life. It is made of sheet steel, so it is durable. The edges are sharp, but not after the stone is quickly passed over them. Apart from the hinge, it's not galvanized so you'll need to paint it to keep it from rusting. But you still want to paint it (e.g. white) so it doesn't get that hot in the sun. White color greatly affects the temperature of the metal in the sun! Nice and cool.
