♫ I received this set to replace a kit that I had had for a long time and was starting to wear out ♥First star for this set : When it arrived it was neatly packed in the box and the very first thing that caught my eye was the resealable plastic bag for the tips. My previous set did NOT have this, and without it your tips are scattered all over the work area because they roll no matter what you wear. ♥ The second star is that the base on which to install it is low. If the base and associated wire you place the soldering iron on is high up, you're more likely to bump into it. I've gotten a few good burns on the side of my hand in the past, so I was happy to see this soldering iron lying close to the surface. Tips are so easy to change. Unscrew the top, remove the current nozzle, install a new one, replace the top and tighten. Last but not least, the nozzles themselves have a handy shape that can be used at home. The one I photographed has a broad top, wider than my last set and I was so happy to see it. This saves me from buying another spike as this is the spike I use the most. ☞ I have been using a kind of soldering iron at home for 20 years. I use them for wire dress forms, wire jewelry, jewelry and clock repairs, dollhouse items, dollhouse electrical and just general repairs that can only be done with solder. I am delighted with this set and very happy that I decided to purchase it.
