Review on 🎨 270976 Zinsser White B-I-N Advanced Synthetic Shellac Primer - 1 Gallon (Pack of 1) by Rafael Gomez

I used the original basket to prime the old bog oak finish but my local dealer was out of stock and I was very happy to find one at Revain . But I didn't look closely enough to see that this is actually an ADVANCED formula. I've read other reviews of tannins seeping through Advanced. I applied two coats of this Advanced to my old oak that I have painted. The second layer appeared yellowish to me. I didn't want to risk the end product, so I found the original BIN in stock at another local store, bought it and completed my project. Although this ADVANCED was thicker and easier to work with than the ORIGINAL, I think the original worked better for my project (no tannin bleed through). Note: The only time I wasn't happy with ORIGINAL was when I used it in the bathroom (ceiling and walls primed). My blanket is in a crumpled mess now. If I had read the reviews before using it in the bathroom I would have chosen a different option. In short, I prefer the ORIGINAL varnished wood primer to the ADVANCED primer
