The lid itself is great and looks well made, but the first thing we noticed as soon as we opened the box was that it smelled like fish! Not just a little, but has a strong fishy odor. We're not sure why. Coincidentally it could have been the smell of the chemicals from the factory that made it, but it smells just like fish and stinks bad! And every time we touch the cover, our hands smell like fish. We tried washing it and that helped a bit, but it still smells like fish and makes our hands smell like fish every time we put it on or take it off. Apart from the smell, a great cover!
