Review on Eliminate Weeds & Grass With BioAdvanced Super Concentrate Weed & Grass Killer, 32-Ounce! by Roger Gibbs

Disappointing results at the recommended mix ratios

This weed killer shows potential, but I found it to be ineffective when diluted to the ratios suggested in its instructions. It'll probably work better when mixed stronger, but doing so means that I'll get nowhere near the advertised 16 gallons of weed killer from this 32oz bottle of concentrate. The instructions initially suggest mixing as little as 2oz of concentrate per gallon of water, but the next page recommends 3-4oz depending on weed size. I went with 4oz/gallon because I wanted a sure-fire solution, but even that wasn't enough.A few hours after spraying, some of my broad-leaf weeds showed minor distress, but that was the extent of the effect. A few days later, the weeds are recovering instead of dying off. I'm now faced with the inconvenience of remixing the solution to a higher concentration and re-spraying everything.I later discovered that the premixed ready-to-use version of this weed killer contains 0.5% of the active ingredient glufosinate. That explains why I had poor results with this concentrate, as the instructed mix ratios create a much weaker solution - between 0.18% and 0.35% glufosinate. To reach the same strength as what's in the RTU bottles, you'd need almost 6oz of this concentrate per gallon of water.Overall, this weed killer did slightly inconvenience the plants that I sprayed it on, so it's likely to be effective when mixed stronger. At usable concentrations, I expect to get around 5-6 gallons of weed killer from this bottle of concentrate, which is a far cry from the advertised 16. It's still a better value than buying the ready-to-use version, but the discrepancy is disappointing nonetheless. Three stars.
