Review on Lacys Stiff Beading Foundation Cabochons by Kelly Caballes

I wanted hair pins for Making beads hair (and maybe doing some more with cabochons in the future) so I needed some assistance. I did a little research and came across this product (20 years ago when I started, before my long hiatus from beadwork, I used cardboard. It was tough on my needles and fingers. It's so much easier and I never will go back to cardboard! ) I'm happy with it. It's easy to use. I don't usually sketch designs, but if you wish, I tested it and was able to get the marker to stay in place (I used the marker because it's convenient. My experience with the marker has actually shown that I can paint over an area to get a solid background color.I'm not quite as experienced as the person who made the example of the item shown on the product label so I'm a bit worried about the back side showing through will be less of an issue as I get better with practice! actually I haven't cabochoned it yet just tried something with beads and accent beads, here you have a sheet of 8.5 x 11 (i.e. the size of a printable sheet ) it's easy to cut into smaller pieces, and if you plan carefully, you can make enough projects out of it.It's a bit pricey, and worth a paa Make comparison shopping to find the best deal. For small items it is quite o keeps its shape well. If you're doing something really big, I can see it getting harder. But I only make hair clips that are 3-4 inches long and maybe 2 inches wide at the widest point, and I mostly use seed beads and small glass beads, none of which are too heavy. I glue this to a faux suede backing to make the underside look more polished (so you can't see all the thread) sticking out, then attach it to my hair clips. Overall I'm happy with this hair accessory and if I ever get to try a big project like one of the designs that grace the cover of the FMG catalogue, I plan to use it there too!
