I chose a wedge pillow because my heartburn and sinus problems were affecting my sleep. I have an antique bed so it was impossible to raise the headboard with risers. I was almost 12 tall, but when I pulled out my tape measure and lay down on the bed to present my position, I decided it would be too tall. It would have been ideal for reading or watching TV but I couldn't see for long at this angle and I sometimes sleep on my left side and that wasn't possible.
