I had no problem using the old brake clips that originally came in my calipers because I was tired of struggling with new hardware. The clamps snapped into place very easily, when I put new pads in it became a huge pain in my ass. I got tired of messing with this so I cleaned the old clips, put them in and installed the pads with no problems.
