Built into the body of the F250 under the awning. Connected to the 12v wire on the 7 pin trailer. On a 2012 f250 you have to have the key in the ignition to turn on 12v on that wire, which is fine lest I accidentally leave the lights on and kill the battery. Ground connection I used a screw through a hole in the frame. I had to use my own wiring to get the right position lights to reach the switch wires on the left. The way they set it up is quite odd, there is almost no wire length at the junction after the switch. Tons of wires on the power side of the switch. Solder the wire connections and use heat shrink tubing to cover the joints. The zipper pulled all the slack together and tied the zipper to the frame near the bumper. Wipe under rail with alcohol before installation. Let's see how the tape will behave in the summer heat. Mounted switch on left side under rail for easy on/off control. It took about an hour to install and installed correctly the first time, so it holds up. The only thing I didn't have were covers for the bare wires in the bed for the switch, but I'll order one.
