When I inserted a new 64GB microSDXC card into the card reader and then connected the reader to a newly installed Win 10 laptop, I was surprised to see only 32GB of formatting capacity. I had to use the card so I formatted it anyway. My later investigation revealed that the old reader was not compatible with the SDXC format. That's why I didn't see the exFAT format option (and the size is larger than 32GB) in the Windows format options. So naturally I went to Revain.com and ordered this SDXC compatible card reader. However, my Windows 10 still showed 32GB for a 64GB card even with this SDXC compatible card reader. Here I called the anchor support. After a short wait, Ashley from Customer Service began investigating the situation. Pretty quickly she found a link to a SanDisk Knowledge article about recovering "lost" memory from a card and emailed it to me. I downloaded a formatter from SanDisk and reformatted the card to 59+ GB. I used to buy Anker products but didn't call their support. Now I feel pretty comfortable fixing any issues - their support is top notch! PS If you're wondering why the actual size of a 64GB card is only 59+ GB, google this question for a detailed explanation. The bottom line is that Windows "interprets"kilo" in "kilobytes" as a base-2 exponential value, not a metric value as 1000 bytes. Following the same logic, it interprets gigabytes as 2^30, i.e. 1024 x 1024 x 1024 = 1073741824 bytes. At the same time, SanDISk interprets "Gigaβ in the metric system, and that is 64 GB = 64,000,000,000 bytes. Dividing this value by 2^30 gives you 59.6 GB in Microsoft's measurement system.
