Review on Enhance Early Learning with Educational Insights Bright Basics Sorting Set by Brian Trotter

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Not your primary sorter! A fun, engaging and educational experience for your first students.

I am a mother of three boys, 6 years, 2 1/2 years and 11 months old. We are HUGE fans of Educational Insights' Sneaky, Snacky Squirrel book and game. When we saw this product, we bought it immediately! To be honest I didn't expect this to become a favorite toy, we have a bunch of sorting boxes and they just collect dust. Children play with sorters once, then they sit on the shelf. But not this sorter! Creativity and connection to book and game made this sorter a keeper played with daily. They literally came up with a custom shape and a simple sorter, giving us a fun, innovative way to introduce my little one to colors, shapes, vocabulary and fine motor skills. My two year old loves putting the figures in the right places and then giggles uncontrollably as he uses the figure and it slides back towards him. The colors are bright and easy to see for beginners. They're made of softer plastic so they stand up well to falls, as opposed to harder plastic that shatters when dropped on hard tiles. I can't say enough about what a wonderful learning tool this was! When you combine this with a book and a game, you feel like a teacher who just put together an amazing lesson plan. If you're looking for a fun educational toy (a tool, as we call it, moms and carers), this is it!
