Review on Silblade WB120S Premium Black Silicone by Jonathan Cartwright

Revainrating 5 out of 5

There has never been a better blade than this

all I can say is wow. only. Wow. I wanted good replacement wiper blades for the Bosch wipers I had (they were about a year and a half old and didn't last well). I did my research and decided to look into silicone rubber blades after reading so much about them. At first I wanted to buy the PIAA brand, but the price and the five year guarantee offered by Silblades changed my mind. Since then I have not regretted it. One of the things I hated about my old blades was that they made a lot of noise when sliding across the windshield unless a decent amount of water was poured on them. I installed them on my car from day one and when the first rain came I was hooked. The blades work silently even if there is some moisture on the glass. You literally won't hear them. Heck, they're quiet even if you don't have water on the glass. All you hear are the motors turning the blades. My old Bosche blades weren't that quiet, even right out of the box. The Silblade blades seem to do a really good job of removing water from the windshield. Better than any other blade I've used, dare I say it. Some of the other blades I've had sometimes leave a thin trail of water on the glass, but not Silblades. Everything is erased from the blade's path. It's also true what they say about the silicone in the rubber that leaves a protective layer. Rain on your windshield will start beating like after waxing your car. I can't say it happened right away because. ok, my windshield was waxed the day before the slats were installed. However, the fringe lasts much, much longer than it should be on its own after waxing. I live in Houston, Texas so I love how these blades hold up in the searing heat. So far there are no cracks or even loss of color. I can't tell you how well they perform on snow and ice as we don't have many of these and I haven't traveled anywhere to test skids on them. However, I do not doubt the manufacturer's claims that they can withstand severe frosts. PIAA silicone blades claimed they could do it all. However, they cost $25 per blade and are only guaranteed to last a year. The Silblade comes with a five-year warranty and you can't beat the price. If you really, REALLY want a noticeable difference in your windshield wiper experience, then I suggest you get these for your car. You will thank me for that.
