UPDATE: Seller sent a replacement socket which arrived after a few weeks but solved a real problem. Easily move cords from old outlet to new, snaps into place without opening the case. Works great with my GE washer/dryer combo and other power tools like a jackhammer (small 15 amp jackhammer). As with other inverters, it has trouble starting some power tools (e.g. 7A auger saws). Minus one star for the overactive surge protection which prevents the motor from pulsing like I can with my 2kW generator. The 120V socket pulled out when unplugging the extension cord which could short the wires to the case and/or each other, but the flimsy spring clips on this part doesn't change my impression of a quality product.
