Works but overheats - FAILS after 2.5 months
Worked perfectly but last night - 2 or 3 weeks ago - the unit overheated and smelled like the plastic itself was so hot it was crumbling. Now I have to keep an eye on that during use to make sure it doesn't start a fire. I don't think this charger should fail anytime soon and I have no idea what could be contributing to the overheating, but it was pretty scary to say the least. UPDATE - Purchased November 23, 2019. Overheating 2-3 weeks. . Today - February 22, 2020 - it started flashing on the laptop connector and no longer charges the laptop. 3 months is hardly an acceptable length of time for a normal or below average US at a fixed location.
