There are multiple products in this listing and this review is for the elevator. I don't usually write reviews that carefully. However, this product is great. Exactly as described, good value for money and easy to install. Completely free space in the garage. Once the ceiling joists were defined, I attached 1" thick planks across the full span where I wanted to hang the bikes. This was necessary because the joists ran perpendicular to how I wanted to hang the bikes. If the beams are in the same direction as the system, this is not necessary. Now I have four bikes hanging from the ceiling. I recommend that you measure the distance on your bike (or other object) that you wish to attach the hooks to, as this will serve as a center point for attaching a bolt to the pulley component - each hook hangs directly beneath the bolts. On bikes, I've found that the pulleys should be about 30-32 inches apart. I also offset the second adjacent set by about ten inches, leaving them about 16 inches apart. This creates enough space so that neighboring bicycles do not bump into each other.
