My USB port on my Avalon died but I had two cigarette lighter sockets on either side of it. So I figured I'd try this adapter until I can replace the USB port so I can at least charge my phone in the car. I'm glad I did. You can't even tell it's installed in the cigarette lighter socket. Looks like the car just arrived. The TWO USB ports are also illuminated with a nice blue light, making it easy to see which way the USB cable is oriented when you plug it in (the USB port that came with the car doesn't have this feature, but it should ). Best of all, it charges my phone much faster than the USB port that comes with the car. I've only had it for a little over a week, so I can't comment on reliability yet. But so far I am very happy with this purchase.
