Good, quiet fan. Replaced two existing fans of the same model on my boat; They still worked but were noisy and starting to fail (rough, loose bearings). According to "Practical Sailor" they top the list in terms of performance, noise and quality. Of course I would buy again. :-) Please note that the service life can be greatly extended with simple maintenance. Find a tutorial video on YouTube; Dismantling, cleaning and a drop of McLube OneDrop on each bearing work wonders. It's a surprisingly easy task, and worth the effort if your fan gets rough or noisy. Basic Method: Remove the 1/2" cap in the center of the fan hub, loosen the collet and remove the fan blades. Loosen the cables, remove the control knob from the front panel, clean everything, lube (sparingly!), reassemble and reinstall.
