I don't know how to attach the banana pins to the base but they will definitely fall out. I was lucky I didn't short out my amp and was able to pull the pins out of the speaker and amp jacks. I would be very upset if they damaged the $10,000 amp or the speakers. Shame as they initially looked like a decent cable. I bought 2-10ft and 2-6ft and now I don't know what to do. My options are: 1. Ask for new wires under warranty (not sure if I want to go through that again) 2. Crimp or (maybe better) solder the contacts into the housing.3. Get rid of poorly designed banana forks and buy good ones.4. Ditch the banana plugs and tin the leads and use tinned wire. I think I'll go with number 4 and hope the wires on the cables themselves don't fall apart or something. I can just throw them all away and buy better quality cables. I cannot recommend this product or any connector from this company.
